Bee

Yesterday, I took my 4.5 month old American Bulldog puppy “Guapo” for a walk at the Kissimmee Lakefront. It was our first walk and the leash was rather taut most of the time. We had a blast, until my pal was stung by a bee.

Guapo began rolling on the ground, running and doing summersaults. As his leash broke he ran at full spend and jumped in some unknown fishermen’s open van. In pursuit I fell in the parking lot like a toddler chasing a buggy in Toys-R-Us.

Driving home he ran in circles in the front seat of my car with bumps occurring all over his body, his snout was three times its normal size and turning deep red. This is an emergency! Bath, Benedryl, and finally a trip to the vet, of course it’s after hours and considered emergency care. The doctor said he is going to be alright but the next time will be worse. Great…

He is as allergic to bee stings as I wish we all were to complacency.
